Tuckers Sit/Stay Competition - My Entry

Voting has started for Tucker's Sit/Stay competition. Click here to go and check out the fun.

I learned this new trick of keeping a cookie on my nose just for this competition. I think I did pretty good if I do say so myself.

I would love to say Vote for Me but there are a lot of my good friends showing off their talents too, and they all look great.
So just go and check it out because there's lots of cool doggies to see.
Vote for who you like and have fun!

Oh, oh. She's reading again!

Mom's got another new book she has been reading, so now of course it's more work for me!
Seriously, how many tricks does a guy like me need to know? I mean really, play dead? Where am I ever going to use that skill!
What's it going to be next?

I think I heard her say something about carrying groceries! Yikes!

I'm playing Hide and Seek

I'm hiding from Jack. If you see him, don't tell him where I am.

Is this a good hiding spot?

Man, I have been hiding here for ages.
Does this mean I win?
I'm the wiiiiiiner,
I'm the wiiiiiiiner,
I'm the wiiiiiiiiiner.

Maybe I'll share my stickcicle with Jack if he ever finds me.

MangoMinster here I come!

I mentioned before that this cool dude Mastiff named Mango is having his very own awesome dog show. Lots of cool doggies are getting their entries in and the competition is heating up. There are different categories for different kinds of doggies, there's prizes, and judges and lots more fun.
If you want to find out about the categories, or the rules, or who is entering, or who is judging or how you can get yourself entered, click the official MangoMinster banner below and you can see all the fun and action for yourself.
I spent quite a bit of time deciding which category to enter because of course I am a dog of many, many talents. Finally I have decided on a category and thrown my hat in to the ring.
I decided to enter the hard working dogs category because I am as you know working very hard on my training. And if that is not enough to qualify me as a hard worker, you all know what a great toboggan puller I am.
Now, I'm not trying to bribe anyone for extra points or anything, but I do give free rides to all my friends... I'm just sayin.

Well, here's hoping the judges like my entry photo. I have my paws crossed!

Tuesday Training Talk

Well, my Mom's been feeling all inspired lately. She got this new book for Christmas called "Divine Canine" and she really enjoyed it. So she says that now we are going to set aside time every day for training. Also, she has been reading about K and R and how well they listen to their Mom so now we have what she calls goals and she says we are going to re-evaluate these goals every week.
What are the goals I am working on this week you ask? Well, we are doing 15 minutes of 'indoor' training every day, and during that training I am working on adding time to my stays. I am working on a stand stay (because I am not very good at the whole standing thing, I'd rather sit down) and Mom keeps moving farther away from me and telling me to sit and down. I guess she wants me to listen to her when she is not right beside me too.
We are going outside every day for 15 minutes too so that I can practice listening while I am hooked up to the toboggan. I have been pulling my girl around the back yard everyday when she gets home from school.
So that's my new schedule. A walk in the morning, fifteen minutes of indoor training, fifteen minutes of outdoor training and toboggan rides after school.
Holy cow, if this keeps up I am going to need one of those personal assistants to keep track of my schedule.

Here's a picture of me enjoying a popsicle (frozen stick) after all my hard work today.

Did anybody notice we're having a snowstorm? Can I come in please?

I'm turning white out here! If you're not going to let me in, can someone at least come out and play in all this new snow with me?
Last night Mom got another Christmas present. She is pretty excited about it. I don't know what it is but there are dogs on it so it must be good.

Yesterday we were looking at Mango's Blog and he is having a dog show contest that sounds like so much fun. We are definitely going enter, it sounds like a blast. Click here to find out all about it.
My only question now is,,, if I am part St. Bernard and part Lab, can I enter as both a sporty dog and a working dog, what do you think????
