Tuesday Training Talk

Well, my Mom's been feeling all inspired lately. She got this new book for Christmas called "Divine Canine" and she really enjoyed it. So she says that now we are going to set aside time every day for training. Also, she has been reading about K and R and how well they listen to their Mom so now we have what she calls goals and she says we are going to re-evaluate these goals every week.
What are the goals I am working on this week you ask? Well, we are doing 15 minutes of 'indoor' training every day, and during that training I am working on adding time to my stays. I am working on a stand stay (because I am not very good at the whole standing thing, I'd rather sit down) and Mom keeps moving farther away from me and telling me to sit and down. I guess she wants me to listen to her when she is not right beside me too.
We are going outside every day for 15 minutes too so that I can practice listening while I am hooked up to the toboggan. I have been pulling my girl around the back yard everyday when she gets home from school.
So that's my new schedule. A walk in the morning, fifteen minutes of indoor training, fifteen minutes of outdoor training and toboggan rides after school.
Holy cow, if this keeps up I am going to need one of those personal assistants to keep track of my schedule.

Here's a picture of me enjoying a popsicle (frozen stick) after all my hard work today.

  1. That sounds like a great schedule...
    Wrooo wroooo!
Mom says she needs to start doing more discipline w/ each of us individually. We can get Mom off track easily when it's three (of us) against one (Mom.)
Keep us posted on your progress...it will help keep us motivated as well!

  5. That sounds like a fun schedule, Byron. Oh, what I wouldn't give fur a 15 minute walk right now... it's been way too cold here fur a little guy like me (below zero.) Good thing I can run all over the house.

    Luv,

  7. Hey there...it's us again!
I don't have your email and I really wanted to respond to your last comment on my blog.
You suggested moving the 'plover's' nest. Do you have any idea what happens when you try and to that? Those arrogant birds will dive-bomb you....ouch!...on your head!. It's good to simply leave them alone. hehehe!
Thanks for the comment though. Keep warm. We are so glad you have joined the blogging community...great fun.
